Generation Development Engineer/Analyst - Asset Implementation * Multiple Positions * This position will be primarily located at The Energy Center in Birmingham, AL. POSITION SUMMARY: Generation Development is primarily responsible for assisting Southern Company’s retail operating companies with the siting, development, deployment and acquisition of power generation and energy storage resources. This position will support the project team associated with the deployment of new generation resources through commercial operation. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist Asset Implementation project manager on all aspects of project implementation including: - Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation - Project budget forecasting and actuals reporting - Contract Management - Engineering design review - Construction monitoring - Performance of economic evaluations and profitability analysis using spreadsheets, production simulation software and financial models - Preparation and presentation of project status and results to all levels of enterprise-wide management and peer groups - Supporting the electrical interconnection process integrating new generation resources into the So...
