ABOUT THE JOB: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides general nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care according to the needs of the patient. This role coordinates and manages patient care through active communication, interaction, and collaboration of patient, family, physicians, health care team and other support services. The RN is responsible for the quality of patient care and nursing practice according to patient care standards within the patient care area and for assuming charge nurse responsibilities when assigned. This position will work approximately 20 hours per week with every 3rd weekend rotation. Responsibilities: - Assesses the physical and psychosocial health care needs of patients/family utilizing nursing assessment tools and available resources (i.e. EMR). - Develops, implements, and documents an individualized care plan using medical and nursing diagnosis, nursing assessment data and current nursing and therapeutic measures. - Identifies immediate and long term implications of alternative choices and nursing activities including, but not limited to, positioning, use of equipment, aseptic technique, and use of personal...
