JOB SUMMARY: - Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the registered nurse. - Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs; comfort and safety measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid need; and elimination needs. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: - GED or High School Diploma required or current high school student in pursuit of GED to be obtained within one calendar year - Certification indicating successful completion of a Nurse's Aide/Technician training and competency course preferred. - BLS required Minimum Work Experience: - Knowledge of principles of patient hygiene, comfort, and safety measures. Previous experience as a patient care provider helpful.
