Job Description The RN (EC) has an expanded scope of practice that includes a range of diagnoses, prescribing a range of drugs and ordering a range of diagnostic tests. The RN (EC) role will encompass the full scope of advanced nursing practice blended with expanded functions including medical directives. Contribute to safe, quality care by: - Managing a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Addressing and resolving issues in a productive, respectful manner. - Exercising sound professional judgment and using best practice guidelines. - Contributing to a safe, inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures. What must you have?: - Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an Extended Class RN and is a member in good standing. - National certification in Nephrology Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association required or in-progress with completion date within 1 year. - Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. - Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education and documentation skills.
