Job description
Research Technician I Required Qualification (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Experience with research activities within a laboratory setting. Preferred Qualification: Proficient in wetlab (protein purification, kinetic assay, cell culture, bench assays), dry lab (computational analysis). Brief Description of Duties: The Yang Laboratory at Stony Brook University is seeking a motivated Research Technician to join our new and growing group. Research in the Yang Lab explores how mRNA translation drives dynamic cellular responses to nutritional and dietary inputs to reshape the proteome and metabolome in ways that influence health and disease. We use a multidisciplinary approach that integrates cellular and molecular biology, protein–metabolite interaction assays, and translational research to uncover how mRNA regulation contributes to metabolic disorders, cancer, and aging. The technician will receive comprehensive training in a broad range of experimental techniques, including cell culture, molecular and biochemical assays, metabolic analysis, imaging, and mouse handling and...
