Contract type: Full-time, Fixed Term 1 year Location: Brighton, Brighton Head Office (Remote) The Assistant Financial Accountant role supports the Senior Financial Accountant and is responsible for the integrity of the general ledger for the UK & EU ISCs business. This involves the management of general ledger entries (revenue, payroll, overheads & marketing), variance analysis, balance sheet reporting, reconciliation and controls, monitoring of systems and processes, and relationship management with FP&A teams across the Group. ABOUT THE ROLE: - Maintenance of general ledgers including revenue and staff expenses postings, accruals, prepayments and other general ledger journals - Liaise with the FP&A team to explain monthly variances to budget and YoY - Ensure consistency and accuracy of coding of invoices, expenses and other items - Ensure all payroll journals are correctly posted - Preparation of monthly balance sheet presentation journals - Prepare schedules for the year-end audit and interim audit - Completing actuals for liquidity reporting - Completion of ONS returns when necessary. - Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including unearned revenue, accru...
