Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is looking for a detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist I who is who will be working on engineering projects in the Downers Grove, IL office. The ideal candidate will bring some knowledge of cost and scheduling and will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects for well-known clients in the Oil & Gas industry. Assist the project manager in developing project scope of work for required Project Controls tasks. Study and understand all relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation of schedules. Work with all relevant project and discipline personnel to prepare schedules. Convert the scope of work document into a logically linked, resourced project schedule. Prepare realistic, achievable schedules using logical networks and where necessary integrate engineering, procurement, and construction schedules with an emphasis on the engineering and procurement pieces. Monitor progress against project schedule and prepare progress reports. Collect expended man-hours and prepare Earned Value reports and analysis.
