JUNIOR ESTIMATOR – COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION: O’Connell Electric’s Estimators are responsible for producing comprehensive estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately assess project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide competitive bids to secure projects. Estimators collaborate closely with project managers and other electrical construction professionals to develop accurate and timely estimates and support the development of complete project proposals. Core Responsibilities: - Attend pre bid meetings with estimators or project managers. - Assist estimators and senior estimators in reviewing project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings to understand project requirements. - Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This includes estimating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. - Utilize estimating software and tools under the guidance of estimators and senior estimators. - Assist in obtaining quotes and pricing from suppliers and subcontractors. - Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and proje...
