Job description

The Workplace Integration (WPI) Lead - Internal Logistics Engineering (ILE) is responsible for delivering a safe & efficient flow and display of material to the production workstations within their area of responsibility. Depending on the assigned program scope and assembly plant, the area of responsibility could fall within Body in White, General Assembly (Trim, Chassis/Engine, and Final/Door), Paint, or all areas. The WPI lead will provide project management from initial CAD layout proposals, all the way through final buyoffs and physical installation on the floor. This position will need to work closely with industrial engineering to secure the scroll (assignment of EBOM parts to workstation) and the containerization group to identify how the parts are packaged from the suppliers. Using the scroll & packaging information, the WPI Lead will operate AutoCAD to design the material display setup for each station. The Lead must work within safety & ergo guidelines and specify which standard or custom equipment is required to display each part’s packaging to the production operator.
