Sales & Application Engineer

Job description

Job Summary: To provide technical expertise in support of new cooling tower sales by reviewing specifications, vetting RFQs, and determining best-fit solutions. This role is engineering-first, ensuring accurate product selection and technical credibility with consultants, while also developing the commercial skills needed to manage opportunities and grow into a customer-facing sales leader. Key Responsibilities: Technical - Review RFQs, specifications, and consultant drawings to determine product compatibility and compliance. - Perform technical selections and system designs using SPX tools/software. - Recommend optimal product configurations and solutions to meet customer requirements. - Provide technical support and training to consultants, contractors, and internal sales colleagues. - Prepare and deliver technical submittals, proposals, and compliance documents. - Act as a technical point of contact for consultants and end users, able to discuss system design considerations (e.g. thermodynamics, water treatment, layout constraints).
