The Animal Medical Center of Seattle, WA is hiring a full- time Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team! Summary: As a Veterinary Internal Medicine Assistant at Animal medical center of Seattle, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary neurologist in delivering specialized care to animals with neurological disorders. Your responsibilities will include assisting in examinations, handling and restraining animals during procedures, administering medications, and providing post-operative care. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Patient Examination Support: Assist with all aspects of patient exams including setting up equipment, obtaining patient histories, restraining animals, taking radiographs, providing take-home instructions, filling prescriptions, and scheduling follow-up appointments. - Client Communication: Interact with clients in person, over the phone, and via email to provide updates, gather information, and support the care process. - Exam Room Preparation: Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and ready for use.
