Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT)

Job description

We are looking for (2) talented Deaf and Hard of Hearing T eacher (DHHT) for the school year. Hourly Rate Range : $45.00-$53.00 per hour Responsibilities would include: - Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings. - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans to support student learning and communication needs. - Use American Sign Language (ASL), cued speech, auditory-verbal therapy, and other communication methods based on student needs. - Adapt curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional strategies to ensure accessibility for DHH students. - Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, interpreters, and special education staff to support student success. - Teach students self-advocacy, communication strategies, and independent living skills. - Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions and strategies as needed. - Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on accommodations, assistive listening devices, and classroom accessibility. - Maintain accurate records and documentatio...
