Location: San Angelo Corps, San Angelo, TX Position Type: Program Aide About this opportunity: Leads children’s activities at an after-school program, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, bible study, computer programs and specialized programs; prepares and serves children lunch and snacks; assists in leading field trips; maintains the cleanliness of the after-school area; transports passengers in a Salvation Army vehicle. Key responsibilities: - Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. - Prepares and serves children snacks and meals; ensures that children receive nutritional and tasteful food; provides positive, relaxed atmosphere during children’s mealtime encouraging conversation. - Develops and implements lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.
