Truck Shop Manager

Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for managing all aspects of a Harms Oil Truck Shop to ensure alignment with the General Manager of Transportation on the execution of objectives. This includes management of technicians, outside vendor management, repair processes, safety awareness, and an effective preventative maintenance program for the fleet in a defined area. Maintains and grows positive, customer-centric relationships within and outside the organization. Responsibilities: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Continually focuses on achieving market profitability through effective management of all equipment and maintenance activities within the assigned area, including cost control, employee development, and high training and safety standards. - Ensures safe and reliable assets are available to meet operational requirements. - Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets through shared fleet maintenance truck reporting. - Conducts fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met. - Provides monthly fleet utilization reports and proposed equipment replacement and disposal recommendations. - Ensures maintenance shops are adequately staffed and mechanics are properly trained. -...
