Job Information Job Title: Summer Legal Student Job Requisition ID: 79749 Ministry: Justice Location: Calgary or Edmonton Full or Part-Time: Wage Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week Permanent/Temporary: Temporary (4 months) Scope: Open Competition Closing Date: April 6, 2026 Classification: Program Services 1 Salary: $31.68 per hour Wage (casual) employees receive 11.6% in addition to regular wage earnings, in lieu of benefits and vacation leave. Summer students are offered wage positions for a period of two to four months in duration. Number of hours of work per week is 36.25 hours. Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening to be hired into a summer student opportunity. The Alberta Human Rights Act establishes the Alberta Human Rights Commission to carry out functions under the Act. The Commission is an independent Commission created by the Government of Alberta. It has a two-fold mandate: to foster equality and to reduce discrimination. It fulfills this mandate through public education and community initiatives, through the resolution and settlement of complaints of discrimination, and through human rights tribunal and court hearings.
