ASSISTANT ATTORNEY II - OPERATIONS DIVISION: (TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS TEAM): CITY OF ATLANTA DEPARTMENT OF LAW: General Description: The primary role of this position is to provide legal services for the City of Atlanta, to include interpretation of laws and regulations, provision of legal advice, preparation and review of legal documentation, management of legal matters, and other legal support as required. The attorney provides legal counsel and advice and acts as a key strategic advisor to the Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Works and serves as a liaison between the departments and the Department of Law elevating certain matters that require the attention of the City Attorney. The attorney also assists with delivery of legal advice to the Atlanta City Council on legislation concerning the departmental initiatives. Essential Functions: Provide comprehensive legal services to the Departments of Transportation and Public Works.
