Utility Machine Operator - Woodworking & Manufacturing Position Overview: As a Utility Machine Operator , you will operate a variety of mechanical and computer-aided woodworking machines to produce high-quality furniture parts. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of wood species, and the ability to maintain dimensional accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications: - Identify and grade various wood species (e.g., Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, Veneers) according to Stickley standards - Read and interpret production tickets and part drawings - Operate and maintain woodworking machinery (mechanical and CNC) - Set up jobs efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize output - Inspect parts for quality, yield, and dimensional accuracy - Perform and log preventive maintenance tasks - Assist with material handling and off-bearing as needed - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area - Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members - Prior experience operating woodworking or manufacturing machinery - Ability to identify wood species and make grading decisions - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Ability to read...
