Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Specialist to join our Manufacturing Technology Group, at our Howmet Research Center in Whitehall, Michigan. This role is responsible for driving lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives across spare parts, coils, automation, and large equipment manufacturing. This person will work closely with project and mechanical engineers to support ongoing equipment build projects, while taking ownership of the spare parts ordering process—including sourcing, quoting, processing purchase orders, tracking, and shipping parts to internal customers. Key Responsibilities: - Lead lean and continuous improvement projects across M-Tech operations. - Oversee spare parts ordering, including customer requests, quotes, purchase orders, tracking, and shipping. - Collaborate with engineers to ensure timely parts availability for multiple projects. - Provide support with CAD (2D/3D modeling in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent). - Train team members and develop clear work instructions to ensure process consistency.
