Description The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Academic Pediatrics, seeks a full-time faculty member at the rank of associate professor or full professor to serve as the Section Chief of Academic Pediatrics. In this role, the Section Chief will be responsible for enhancing the Section’s clinical and academic excellence through program building, administrative leadership, and mentorship of the faculty and staff of the Section and the ambulatory clinics. The appointee will provide clinical care to pediatric patients and advancing equitable access to care at Comer Children’s Hospital as well as ambulatory locations on our main campus in Hyde Park and a growing number of regional sites. In addition, the appointee will be expected to undertake research and scholarly activity in any area of basic, translational, or clinical research including but not limited to health outcomes, clinical trials and health interventions, health economics, population health, and/or informatics.
