Overview PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Purchasing Agent . The Purchasing Agent will purchase materials and service for PrimeSource in an efficient and economical manner following established policies and procedures in processing purchase orders. Research and evaluate supplies based on price, quality, selection, services, support, availability, production and distribution capabilities and supplier’s reputation and history. Responsibilities: Some responsibilities include the following. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Strategic Goals and Objectives for Domestic purchasing team Ø Target 98.5% Fill rate and on time deliveries for all customers Ø Work with category management and supplier partners, to lower acquisition costs, specifically on freight Ø Focus on turns, decreasing inventory and on-hand/on-order quantities- by utilizing data and processes accurately, and diligently Ø Communicate proactively, collaboratively, and clearly/concisely to all commercial, operational and all cross functional teams...
