Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Nursing works closely with the Director of Nursing in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing program. This position is also responsible for providing leadership and fostering positive collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Assistant Director of Nursing works closely with the Director of Nursing devising and implementing departmental operations and maintaining high quality programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Participates in the interviewing hiring, orientation, supervision and evaluation of classroom and clinical nursing faculty. - Assists in monitoring implementation of systematic nursing plans of evaluation. - Collaborates with the Director of Nursing and nursing faculty on annual budget needs - Assists in resolving student and faculty issues and inquiries - Champions ATI programs and curriculum - Assists faculty as needed with preparation of lesson plans, learning activities and evaluation of the learner’s knowledge. - Conducts faculty meetings, assigns faculty to committees, and serve as an unofficial member of program faculty committees as directed by the Dir...
