CNC Machinist (Toyoda HMC)

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist specializing in large-scale horizontal machining. This role is responsible for the end-to-end setup and operation of a Toyoda FH800 Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) with a Fanuc-based control system. You will be tasked with transforming raw materials into high-precision components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency are met. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: - Setup: Perform complex machine setups including the installation of tombstones, fixtures, and specialized work-holding devices on the Toyoda FH800’s 800mm pallets. - Tooling: Select, assemble, and preset cutting tools. Load tools into the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) and input tool offsets (length and diameter) into the CNC controller. - Operation: Execute production runs, monitoring the machine for unusual noises, vibrations, or tool wear. Perform mid-program restarts and manual data input (MDI) as required. - Quality Control: Inspect first-off and production parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and CMM reports) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances. - Maintenance: Perform daily preventati...
