NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING: JOB TITLE: Reefer Tech – Togiak Fisheries LOCATION: Twin Hills, AK: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Refrigeration Operator is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the facility's ammonia refrigeration systems, including blast cell freezers and flake ice-making capabilities. Reports to Chief Engineer. This is a seasonal position from May through August. Due to the seasonal nature of our industry, the Refrigeration Engineer works 12+ hours per day, seven days per week, during peak production seasons. RESPONSIBILITIES: QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work long hours in wet and cold conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Pay range: $25.00/Hr. - $35.00/Hr. DOE Payroll is processed bi-weekly.
