Newport News, Virginia Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the supervision of the Care Manager to assist the Physicians/Registered Nurses in the care of clients in their homes by provision of comprehensive skilled nursing services directed toward maximum rehabilitation to achieve the established goals and objectives identified. Has working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance requirements, agency Policies and procedures. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care. Ability to assess data reflective of the client's status and current requirements. Able to provide care in accordance to departmental policy and procedure guides. The LPN may be required to work every other weekend depending upon client census. Supplements the nursing care needs of the client as provided by the Registered Nurse.
