Salary Range: $17.68 - $26.92/hour Salary Grade: 8 FLSA: Nonexempt Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to perform a variety of defined duties related to maintaining a safe and secure environment for County employees and visitors and protecting County property against fire, theft, and illegal entry. Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Maintains safeguard of County facilities; controls access/exit to buildings and parking lots; operates X-ray machines and metal detectors; patrols premises of facility; checks visitors for proper identification and security clearance; monitors private entry corridors and hallways; performs roving security rounds in designated areas; records approved deliveries; performs routine operational check of fire extinguishers and AED units; and performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
