Test & Metrology Technician

Job description

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. We have recently established a mechanical testing laboratory in our Bordeaux site to support internal development and qualification of hardware — especially 3D printed parts and subsystem assemblies. The lab is now operational, equipped with tensile/fatigue benches, metallography tools, and a Mitutoyo CMM. We are looking for a Test & MetrologyTechnician to operate this equipment on a daily basis and support the execution and continuous improvement of our test campaigns. You will work in close coordination with the Laboratory Engineer and with other teams in Design, Manufacturing, and Quality. Your Mission: Your role will focus on performing and supporting mechanical tests and inspections within our internal lab, including: Conducting mechanical tests: tensile, compression, hardness, bending and fatigue testing on metallic and polymer parts (mainly 3D printed).
