JOB CATEGORY: COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS /BEHAVIORAL HEALTH / MENTAL HEALTH: POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision, this position provides Respite Services for children or adolescents experiencing Serious Emotional/Neurobiological/Behavioral Disorders. The focus is on improving quality of life and supporting independent functioning while strengthening, supporting, and preserving families. Services are individualized and delivered collaboratively in an out-patient setting to promote safety, well-being, and overall progress while providing caregivers with time-limited temporary relief from the ongoing responsibility of care. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required plus six (6) months of experience in human services or child / adolescent programs; OR AA degree in a related human service field (related college degrees include Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Family Studies and Human Services); OR BA in any field. - Experience in human services or child / adolescent programs strongly preferred. - Bilingual (English / Spanish) or (English / Navajo) preferred.
