At NorthBay Health the Vascular Sonographer is a registered Vascular Sonographer with demonstrated clinical expertise. The Vascular Sonographer is responsible and accountable for the delivery of all cardiology service modalities according to the Heart and Vascular Center. The Vascular Sonographer works collaboratively with the healthcare providers ensuring that high quality, cost effective care is provided to all patients under this service by acting as a clinical resource, monitoring standards of practice and patient outcomes; patient satisfaction; and adherence to departmental policies, procedures and guidelines. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinic Practice / Patient Care: Provides direct patient care relative to the department organizational policies and procedures, which may include but are not limited to: vascular studies, etc. Documents data in the electronic record base (ex: CPACS, Cerner). Instructs and assists the patient in preparation for testing and/or procedures according to the needs of the patient population. Maintains patient privacy at all times.
