Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support a government contract based in El Paso, TX. POSITION SUMMARY: The EHS Specialist Supports implementation of Amentum field and office EHS program and occupational safety and health regulations in regional operations. Responsibilities: - Conducts facility and site walk down and inspection activities to monitor compliance with Safety Practices such as PPE, etc. - Directs activities of safety committee and may provide safety training - Acts as a liaison to the Amentum and subcontractor work force training and work performance - Fulfills the role of admin support for EHS Supervisor and EHS Manager - To coordinate the implementation of the company EHS policies, Safety Management System and project/location specific Safety Management Plans as they apply to the location. - Ensure the location complies with the relevant Occupational and Safety Legislation and the respective client's safety requirements. - Conduct and report the results of safety observations and audits, evaluate corrective action plans, veri...
