Job description

This position serves as the float Social Worker amongst the inpatient psychiatry units, serving both adults and adolescents. As a float, your assignment may change daily or based upon the needs of the team, filling in for PTO or other scheduled time off. This position will be involved in providing brief psychotherapy, counseling, resource connection and will coordinate patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. You will be collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, complying with the required standards for medical and legal responsibilities, and serve as a valuable resource to other allied and administrative staff within the section of social work and the Department of Nursing. Additional responsibilities include: **This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
