Job description

Your Role: As a Transportation Analyst III at MilliporeSigma, you will be responsible for optimizing and analyzing the performance, quality, and cost of domestic and international transportation operations. You will identify logistical and financial opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs associated with transportation while collaborating effectively with internal and external partners involved in shipping and receiving operations. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and evaluate the performance of freight forwarders, carriers, and couriers to ensure compliance with service levels and cost-effectiveness. - Conduct detailed analyses of transportation costs and service levels on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. - Oversee the performance of transportation business partners through regular reviews, developing standardized templates and metrics to ensure high-quality partnerships. - Prepare and present analytics and cost studies to support negotiations with carriers and rate proposals. - Perform transportation network optimization studies to drive cost & quote methodologies and improve route efficiency. - Identify strategies to enhance service levels while minimizing fre...
