Job description

Overview Under specific direction, the Systems Specialist will assist with the installation, integration, and maintenance of data network components, network communications equipment, and network workstations. The Systems Specialist will monitor network performance and performs network analysis to reduce system downtime and improve network performance. Working in support of the IT Management team and Systems Administrators, this position will diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion as well as provide end user and technician support, and perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or 1 year of directly related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
