JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY -- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: Working under general technical guidance, a Metrology Technician II specializes in ground-based electronic systems and works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties: - Independently perform calibration, certification, and repair of electronic and physical/dimensional test measurement diagnostic equipment (TMDE) - Ensure traceability to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or equivalent standards - Apply measurement science principles to analyze accuracy, precision, and uncertainty - Diagnose and repair complex equipment using schematics, diagrams, and software diagnostics - Identify and quantify sources of measurement error a...
