GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of Supervisor I - Zoo, the work involves a wide range of customer service duties, sales, support functions, and directing Abilene Zoo visitor traffic. Will assist in leading the work of Guest Services employees and other associated activities including assisting with Abilene Zoo activities, functions, events and programs. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: In the absence of the Supervisor I - Zoo, this position will function as the supervisor over Zoo Guest Services employees. IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform general customer services functions including answering guest inquiries, giving directions, providing information of zoo functions and activities. Process incoming and outgoing calls; process register payments, reservation and visitation paperwork, Operation of all Guest Services attractions, rides, equipment, and food preparation. Maintain, inspect, clean, inventory, and follow policies and procedures of assigned equipment, areas, and surrounding spaces. Provides administrative support for the Supervisor I - Zoo.
