JOB DESCRIPTION: Summary: The Production Superintendent manages daily production functions within the plant, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving operational and personnel issues. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead all assembly operations within the plant and coordinate the activities of the production departments. This requires familiarity with all assembly processes, continuous awareness of customer shipping requirements, work schedules, and quality expectations. Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet production schedules, maintain the appropriate ratio of indirect to direct labor, and monitor the overall cost of operations with a focus on profit and loss. Ensure parts are produced on schedule, quality standards are maintained, and operational costs are minimized.
