IP Patent Assistant

Job description

The IP Patent Assistant will assist patent attorneys and patent agents with high volume patent matters end-to-end from preparation to maintenance. This will include various domestic and international filings, correspondence with agents, clients, and inventors, and related tasks. Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of patent experience with a strong understanding of the United States patent process. Where You'll Work: The IP Patent Assistant role is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time at our Toledo, Ohio office. There is a possibility of hybrid for an experienced candidate. What You'll Do: - Draft, proofread, send, file and manage correspondence internally and externally, as well as memos, contracts, forms, and other relevant documents - Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements, U.S. patent applications and various types of responses to Office Actions - Correspond and provide updates to foreign associate network for non-U.S. patent matters - Provide status updates to clients both domestically and abroad - Coordinate with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office staff to resolve issues related to patents - Assist attorneys on non-patent and trademark in...
