Painter I 260002A1 Description The Massachusetts Veterans Home (MVH) at Chelsea, a dedicated long-term care facility committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our nation's veterans, is seeking to add a Painter I to their team. The successful candidate will assist with and participate in the application of paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces; inspects buildings, furniture and other fixtures to determine the need and advisability for painting and the type of finish to use and perform related work as required. DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Participates in the preparation of surfaces for painting or papering and in the application of paint, wallpaper and other finishes. 2. Assists in preparing surfaces for finishing by washing, dusting, sanding, puttying and other means. 3. Assists in applying paint, varnish stain, wallpaper and other finishes to walls, floors, furniture, building exteriors and other surfaces by means of a brush or spray equipment. 4.
