Lab Technician (Non-union / Hourly) Department: Plant: Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager Location: Anderson, IN FLSA Status: Non-exempt: Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, Thrift, Life Insurance Shift (if applicable): Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Position Overview: The lab technician’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Attend training to become a certified to comply with Prairie Farms requirements. Will be trained in all laboratory procedures that are utilized in the operation to both food safety and quality. The technician shall be trained and qualified to operate Laboratory Equipment including calibration. Techniques for each piece of equipment utilized in the Food Safety and Quality Program. Technicians shall be fully trained and qualified in appropriate methods of testing by procedure. All testing results will be entered in the appropriate log and signed by the Technician. Technicians should follow all GMP and Safety and Work Policies. Technician is to notify immediate Supervisor when deviation occurs.
