Location: Hematology/Oncology Clinic Pay Range: $19.66 - $34.59 Job Description Summary: Assist physician and RNs in the care of patients. Primary Key Performance Areas: Safely and accurately mix and administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as ordered by AON physicians, under the direct supervision of the registered professional nurse, and at the discretion of the head nurse. The LPN will adhere to ONS standards and guidelines. Accurate and safe disposal of biohazardous waste, per OSHA and HRS guidelines. Assist in obtaining lab samples. May perform technical laboratory procedures in a timely manner with accuracy and precision, meeting the standards of all accrediting/regulatory agencies Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing. Sending outside labs to appropriate facility as dictated by patient’s insurance plan. May assist in maintaining test report logs, quality control logs, equipment records, and checklists according to all regulatory agencies. Responsible to perform Port Access procedures appropriately.
