Summary: A Solid Waste Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting the daily operations and upkeep of solid waste equipment, containers, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient service delivery. This position plays an important role in extending equipment life, reducing downtime, and maintaining a clean, safe, and professional solid waste operation for both employees and the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs preventative maintenance on solid waste vehicles and equipment, including greasing trucks, checking fluid levels, and inspecting components for wear - Conducts light mechanical repairs on solid waste vehicles, containers, carts, and related equipment - Delivers, repairs, and replaces residential refuse and recycling containers - Assists with installation, repair, and maintenance of dumpsters and other solid waste containers - Maintains cleanliness and organization of solid waste facilities, including shops, yards, and container storage areas - Picks up and dispose of litter and debris around solid waste facilities and service areas as needed - Assists drivers and operations staff with equipm...
