Department: 34402 Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital - Med Surg: IU 30 Cardiac Intermediate Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 24 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 3- 8 hour shifts a week from 9:30a-6p, Monday through Friday, No weekends Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30 Major Responsibilities: Safely and effectively ensure activity, ambulation, and mobility of patients. May assist with ambulation to the bathroom. May assist with unskilled exercises as delegated by RN. Assists with patient positioning and proning, transferring, and transporting duties, which may require lifting, pushing, and pulling. May assist patients with sitting up in a chair for meals and setting up meals trays for patients as indicated. May assist in ensuring patient linens are clean and repositioned as indicated. Maintains clean and safe environment. May assist in responding to patient call lights. May assist in maintaining work equipment and storage areas. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
