The incumbent in this position simulates and administers radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the physician. This position monitors the patient’s physical condition to determine if any adverse side effects are taking place and provides emotional support as needed. JOB FUNCTIONS: Administers doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards, as prescribed by the physician. Positions patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription. Reviews prescription, diagnosis, patient chart, and identification.
