What You Will Do Johnson Controls is hiring! The Senior Mechanical Designer leads the design and development of HVAC equipment, owning mechanical solutions from concept through release. This role partners cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and manufacturable products. As a technical subject matter expert, the Senior Mechanical Designer drives design quality, supports prototype and production efforts, and contributes to continuous improvement across assigned product platforms. Candidates must be commuting distance to Largo, FL, or able to relocate. Various relocation packages are available. Candidates must be US citizens and/or permanent resident, as sponsorship is not available. How You Will Do It: Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and related tools to create and maintain 3D models, drawings, DXFs, and assemblies. Develop innovative designs and solutions based on project specifications. Execute the product development phase gate process to release new products and features.
