SUMMARY: The Journeyman HVAC mechanic is responsible for carrying out all the duties and responsibilities of an HVAC mechanic at the Journeyman level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Install, maintain, repair, adjust and clean all HVAC and associated equipment and systems. • Must be well versed in the use of many and varied types of test equipment such as volt-meters, ammeters, amprobes, psychrometers, capacitor analyzer temperature testers, leak detectors, micrometer, CO2 testers, vacuum gauges, meggers and must possess outstanding eye-hand coordination.• Inspects completed work for conformance to standards.• Possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.• Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults with HVAC systems.• Other duties as assigned.
