Job Title: Outreach Ambassador Pay Range: $20.25 to $20.25 per hour (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Pay Day!) Shift/Schedule: Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat 8:30am-5pm 2:30pm-11pm (Winter Hours alternate to 10:30am-7pm for this shift) Preferred Skills: - Customer Service, Homeless Outreach, Working Outside, Standing/Walking for 8 Hours (With breaks every 2 hours) Who We Are: At Block by Block we employ Ambassadors to make public spaces better by making them friendlier, safer and cleaner for the communities we serve. This is also a great opportunity for community workers, retirees, and veterans. What You'll Be Doing: - Frequently canvass the zone to interact and seek out the homeless/unhoused on the streets to build relationships of trust with a "compassion first" approach. - Direct those in public spaces to services or more suitable locations. - Have a strong understanding of the variety of social services available to persons in need within their community, and suggest the right services to those who are ready to help themselves.
