Job description

Overview: - Tier One Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer with LAN/Wireless experience to support our US Government client. - This contract-to-hire position will be based in Raleigh, NC and require up to 50% travel. - SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT. Responsibilities: - Configure and support wireless systems. - Travel to remote sites for survey, installation and upgrade of network equipment. - Perform site migrations. - Architecture design, and systems implementation, of middle-of-row to core connectivity. IOS layer 2 and layer 3 configuration and support. - Tier 3 escalation point for complex LAN/Wireless issues escalated from Tier 2 engineers. - Provide guidance and mentorship to Tier 2 LAN Engineers. - Design, implement, and manage LAN/Wireless infrastructure projects. - Perform network performance monitoring and optimization. - Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams. - Network design, and configuration of OSPF, EIGRP, RIP and Static routing solutions. - Plan/schedule any upgrades, including any that may occur on weekends or during other off-duty hours, and releas...
