Job description
As a Diesel Mechanic with Waste Connections, your primary responsibility is to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Key duties include: - Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment - Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems - Utilizing vehicle computer diagnostic systems to identify failures and program engine and vehicle control modules - Responding to road calls and emergency repairs as needed - Reviewing, completing, or assigning repairs based on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) - Completing maintenance documentation using fleet maintenance software - Test driving vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation - Supporting team members with repairs and troubleshooting when needed - Maintaining professional, courteous communication with drivers and coworkers - Keeping a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards - Performing additional job-related duties as assigned What We’re Looking For: To succeed in this role, candidates should have: What You’ll Get from Waste Connections We offer an...
