Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client and family centered recovery model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and vision and values of the organization, provides support services to youth and their parents, families and caregivers. Using a variety of theoretical models facilitates and delivers workshops, presentations and events. Works primarily with parents and families to implement proactive approaches to support the prevention of youth substance use. Partners with staff within prevention initiatives in schools and communities to identify trends, needs and priorities for service. Coordinates, plans and implements relevant methods of outreach to strengthen parent/family awareness, knowledge and skills to prevent, delay and intervene with respect to adolescent substance use. Provides brief intervention counselling services as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Bachelors Degree in a Social or Behavioural Science from a recognized program.
