Tank Cleaner Project Duration: 2 weeks Project Location: Galveston Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned. - Cleans interiors of storage tanks, industrial processing tanks, other vessels to remove emulsion and incrustations, using shovels, squeegees, brooms, scrapers, hoses, water, and degreaser. - Drains tank, connects hose to water or steam lines, and sprays walls, roof, and bottom of tank to flush residue, such as oil, grease, and sludge through tank openings. - Scrapes and scrubs walls, using detergents, degreaser, scrapers, and brushes to remove incrustations, scales, or deposits of tar and asphalt. - Sweeps up debris and shovels sludge into buckets or wheelbarrows or down chutes. - Removes chemical residues and other liquids from tank bottoms with squeegees or pump and suction hoses. - Dries tanks with portable air-drying equipment using rags or absorbent pads. - Able to work efficiently in confided spaces. - Adds specified degreasers to industrial tanks to maintain and replenish tank processing solutions. - Performs other duties and services to ensure successful projects are delivered and clients ar...
