Position Overview Under general supervision, the “EMS Technician Paramedic” utilizes New York State Department of Health Basic and Advanced Life Support patient care protocols to provide high quality, safe and efficient emergency medical care to patients at assigned EMS coverage events. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Emergency Medical Services Work Shift and Schedule: This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager. Compensation Range: $22.97 - $34.46 per hour, depending on experience This position is not eligible for benefits. Education/Experience: Minimum Required: - High School diploma or equivalency. - Ability to remain calm and focused in highly stressful emergency situations. - Ability to lift a 200 lb. person from ground into an ambulance with assistance from one other lifting individual. - Ability to legibly complete written work. - Ability to operate a computer and utilize related documentation programs.
